About LGBTQ-Affirming Therapy
Navigating life as an LGBTQ+ individual can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you’re exploring your identity, facing societal stigma, or managing the intricacies of a gender transition. As a queer, femme, LGBTQ-affirming therapist, my primary goal is to provide you with a safe, supportive, and affirming space where you feel completely seen, heard, and respected just as you are.

What is Affirmative Therapy?
LGBTQ-affirming therapy is an empowering therapeutic approach that acknowledges and celebrates all sexual orientations and gender identities as equally valid and important. This type of therapy actively works to counteract the negative impacts of homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination, providing a strengths-based perspective that supports your authentic self. LGBTQ-affirming therapy helps you address societal challenges while nurturing your inner resilience and self-acceptance.

Whether you’re just beginning or continuing your journey, you don’t have to do it alone.
Gender-Affirming Letter Writing
Starting gender-affirming hormone therapy or preparing for surgery can be exciting yet challenging due to paperwork and requirements. As part of our work together, I provide affirming letter-writing services designed to make these processes smoother and less stressful. We’ll collaborate to document your journey, discuss your mental health history, and clearly outline your needs in letters you can confidently share with your medical providers. My priority is to make sure you feel supported, empowered, and affirmed as you move forward with your transition.

I provide both telehealth and in-person sessions in Pittsburgh, always in a space that is affirming, collaborative, and tailored to your needs.
